With this in mind, we're searching for an energetic and passionate person to join the Operations team as Branch Manager at our Gold Coast Branch on a full time basis.
We are looking for a process focused individual with high level supervisory skills, who is motivated by building teamwork, promoting a culture of respect based on Border Express's core values and continuing to provide outstanding service to our customers.
Relevant experience is helpful and highly sought after, but it's your attitude and values that are the most important part.
Get to know the Role: We are looking for a team focused individual who is flexible in their approach to work, who possesses a strong team and work ethic and enjoys the challenges and rewards of working within a small but fast paced environment.
The purpose of the role is to proactively contribute to the strategic planning and direction of Border Express and to safely lead and manage all areas associated with revenue, cost control, compliance, training and safety.
You will need to BE able to demonstrate the following attributes: Lead, manage and monitor the performance of all Express branch activities - PUD fleet, Inbound/Outbound handling and resource allocation; Ensure the appropriate performance measurements are in place for all key activities – dwell time, fleet utilisation, Inbound / Outbound and line-haul utilisation; Ensure DIFOT targets are achieved, and once achieved, strive to consistently improve; In a fluctuating environment, ensure all freight movements are efficiently & effectively utilised to meet the operations time schedule; Liaise and co-operate with other Branch /State Managers in formulating robust operational processes nationally; Lead the enforcement of a disciplined behaviour for process compliance with operational, administrative policies and procedures, WHS regulations, DG transportation regulations and any other relevant governmental regulations.
Oversee the presentation of facilities, people and equipment in accordance with company and safety standards; Previous Operational Management experience in Logistics is preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point is an advantage.

Near enough is very definitely not good enough at Border Express.
