Job Description Purpose The Associate Director (AD) is responsible for reviewing, updating, and implementing the business plan, developing business opportunities aligned with the strategy, and exploring market opportunities.
The role involves managing key accounts, developing relationships, securing opportunities, providing service delivery, and acting as a key stakeholder and first point of contact.
ADs will review performance against client strategies and staff engagement quarterly with the Director/Executive Director.
They are expected to be billable according to internal/external requirements while balancing work-winning, client account management, and staff management.
Primary peers include: Associate Directors and Digital Transformation Lead Direct reports include: Principal Consultants, Managing Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Consultants Responsibilities The role requires flexibility and the ability to undertake activities within your capabilities.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Strategy and Growth Contributing to regional growth plans and supporting their management.
Inputting into regional business plans in consultation with senior management, monitoring implementation, and developing corrective actions.
Supporting staff capability development aligned with strategic focus.
Identifying opportunities for innovation and proposing them to the Technical Services Director.
Implementing initiatives supporting strategic imperatives.
Generating business across regional boundaries and leveraging national clients.
Driving industry-leading practices and innovation.
Modeling company core values.
Account Management Developing plans to find, manage, retain, and grow revenue in key client accounts.
Monitoring client portfolio performance and taking corrective actions if necessary.
Maintaining up-to-date client contact data within CRM and finance systems.
Converting leads into client accounts and sharing opportunities across regions.
Representing the company at networking events and industry forums.
Managing key accounts effectively with up-to-date account plans.
Staff Management Recruiting, mentoring, and developing staff.
Following recruitment processes and assessing candidates for alignment with company values and competencies.
Providing leadership, structure, and support to your team.
Managing staff performance and contributing to succession planning.
Communication and Community Building relationships through social functions and regular communication sessions.
Governance, Finance, and Procedures Preparing monthly performance reports and other documentation as required.
Systems and Processes Managing service delivery tools and ensuring the use of standard systems and methodologies.
Personal Development Owning your ongoing professional growth, attending seminars, seeking mentors, and pursuing training.
HSEQEnsuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Performance & Development Performance targets are aligned with the business plan and reviewed biannually, with informal monthly check-ins.
Achievement of targets may be linked to bonuses.

Knowledge & Experience Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of our industry and the value of controls to clients.
Experience in developing business relationships, business plans, and managing key accounts.
Proven leadership in managing people and delivering advisory or technical services.
Qualifications A degree in a related subject is required.
Engineering or professional qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
