From those humble beginnings, ADEC (Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities Inc.) was born.
For more than four decades, we have stood side by side with individuals and families from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds, fighting for equality, amplifying their voices, and building bridges of inclusion.
Our mission has never wavered—to empower every person we serve to live with independence, respect, and the opportunity to thrive.
We believe that diversity is strength, and every person has the right to belong.
Through tireless advocacy and culturally responsive support, we have created meaningful change across the disability and aged care sectors while nurturing vibrant, cohesive communities.
Today, ADEC supports a wide network of ethnic communities with an extensive range of programs, including advocacy, disability services, aged care, and community capacity building.
While our services have grown, our purpose remains the same: to champion the right of every person to live a life of dignity, inclusion, and empowerment.
