Independent Non-Executive Director – Residential Aged Care

We are seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director to join the Board of an emerging aged care provider in Melbourne with development underway and a strong pipeline for growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Board from the ground up, helping to shape growth and transformation as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
Applicants must demonstrate aged care governance experience through board director roles, executive leadership positions, or regulatory compliance expertise.
Candidates must successfully complete all required background clearances including police check, working with vulnerable people clearance, and ASIC director identification.

About the Role
Provide independent governance oversight and guidance to the Governing Body.
Contribute to strategy, risk management, and compliance with the Aged Care Act & Quality Standards.
Attend Board meetings (plus preparation and occasional calls).
Help shape a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation in aged care.
What We're Looking For
Board or senior executive experience in residential aged care.
Minimum of 5+ years experience in residential aged care at board or senior executive level.
Strong understanding of director duties, compliance, and risk management.
Strategic thinker with commercial acumen and sound judgement.
Collaborative, courageous, and values-driven, with integrity and emotional intelligence.
Commitment to continuous improvement in aged care.
