Our Service: Vibrant Futures is a flexible early intervention mental health support service.
Vibrant Futures aims to build resilience in children and young people, confidence in parents and carers, seek connections to support and create awareness in the community.
The Vibrant Futures service provides flexible support to young people and their families/carers to improve their emotional health and wellbeing by: Building resilience and enhance the wellbeing of young people who are at risk of or showing early signs of mental health difficulties.
Providing evidence informed short-term and long-term early intervention support based on a Family Action Plan, specifically for children and young people up to the age of 18, and their families.
Providing information on services available, including referral options and assist families access these services.
Assisting young people and families using an outreach model and where appropriate link them to group work that supports early intervention programs or services.
Encouraging families/carers involvement in the development strategies which enhance choice, dignity, and independence of the person under families/carers Promoting the dignity and rights of families and carers of people with a mental health issue, both within the service and in the wider community.

This position provides instructions, guidance support and actively works with the team to improve identified skill areas.
The Service Leader will understand the scope of the service, process and triage referrals coming in to the service and carry a small case load.
The Service Leader monitors and reviews the systems and processes used in Vibrant Futures.
The collected information is used to analyse service delivery outcomes and to enhance the effectiveness of support for persons with a mental illness/ disability.
The Service Leader works in close partnership with the Centre Manager to provide leadership, practice development and mentoring sessions to a team of Family Support workers.
Support administrative functions of the Centre Manager.
Requirements: Minimum of Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services or other related discipline (ideally a completed Diploma or Bachelors)Experience and skills in working with people experiencing mental illness and/or disability Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people Demonstrate effective listening, communication skills, empathy; and the capacity to relate with others with dignity and respect Ability to help program participants link in with other relevant community resources and to promote the rights, responsibilities and recovery of program participants Ability to implement and facilitate planned activities resulting in greater community access and support Demonstrated communication, problem solving and organisational skills Proficiency in use of computer and Microsoft office Demonstrated ability to work with families, carers, government agencies and community services Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance Current driver's license Stride is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people.
