Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time.
Practice Information: This is a well-established family practice with a loyal and increasing patient base.
The doctors are very well supported by friendly nurses and an admin team.
4 Cyte pathology has a collection centre inside the practice, and a pharmacy is immediately next door.
The services include General Consults, minor procedures, men-women-children health, chronic disease management, skin procedures, cryotherapy, mental health, work cover, and employment medicals.
Position Description: The General Practitioner role is to provide comprehensive medical care to individuals, families, and the community (from initial consultation to resolution) on simple and complex health conditions.
The General Practitioner provides a range of health services from prevention of illness through to treatment and rehabilitation.
The position requires consultation with other health professionals as required and coordinating ongoing care.
The General Practitioner continues to assist patients in their community by providing ongoing education, participating in health promotion, conducting research, and assisting in training colleagues and other health professionals.
Qualifications & Experience: An Australian Recognized Medical Degree with relevant experience in the field of General Practice or in the hospital setting.
Salary Information:60% of billings About Gladstone: Gladstone is situated on the East Coast of Central Queensland about seventy kilometres south of the tropic of Capricorn.
It boasts a large harbour with access to all water activities, the Great Barrier Reef, Heron Island, Agnes Water, and 1770, the site of Captain Cook's first landing in Queensland.
The population is about fifty thousand.
Cultural diversity is a result of our industrial nature of the city where expertise is obtained from all corners of the globe.
Private and public schooling is available as well as TAFE, and a campus of the University of Central Queensland is also there.
