About the Role Professor Marie Bashir Centre Camperdown was opened in 2014 and has been designed to be a place of healing and recovery.
The centre is integrated with community mental health services to ensure people can get back to work, school, family and friends as soon as possible.
The centre is a warm and calm environment with murals, a peaceful garden and colourful common areas for patients and their visitors.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty through the delivery of specialist consultant service which:Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs.
Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice.
Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs.
Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the clinical service.
For more information, please view Position Description Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
