About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Product Manager withexpertise in Fluid Power and Hydraulic Systems.
The successful candidate will beresponsible for designing, developing, and providing technical support for hydraulicsystems used in a variety of applications.
This role requires a strong understanding of fluid power principles, hydraulic components, and system integration, as well as theability to work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure effective solutions.
Responsibilities Design & Development:
• Design hydraulic systems and components tailored to customer specifications and project requirements.

• Develop and optimise hydraulic system designs using engineering principles, simulation tools, and CAD software.

• Support new product development, system integration, and custom solutions for clients.
Technical Support:
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for hydraulic systems, including on-site visits if necessary.

• Assist customers with the installation, operation, and maintenance of hydraulicequipment.

• Evaluate customer requirements and offer solutions for system upgrades ormodifications.
Project Management:
• Work closely with the sales and engineering teams to ensure hydraulic solutions meet project timelines and quality standards.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and customer expectations are met.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution fromdesign to delivery.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between the company and customers, offering guidance and resolving queries.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing after-sales support when required.

• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and internal staff.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and reports.

• Perform system analysis, tests, and evaluations to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards.

• Document and report on customer feedback, field issues, and recommended improvements for continuous development.
Organisational Relationships The Technical Product Manager - Fluid Power will report directly to the Sales & Technical Manager Preferred Qualifications / Attributes
• Professional certifications in Fluid Power (such as Fluid Power Certified Professional) or related qualifications.

• Experience with electronic controls and sensors in hydraulic systems.

• Knowledge of safety systems and compliance standards for hydraulic applications.

• Right to work in Australia.
Required Skills
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hydraulic system design and application, with a focus on fluid power systems.

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, cylinders, motors, and fluid power principles.

• Proficiency in 2 D & 3 D CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Autodesk, Hydraw) and hydraulic simulation tools.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for hydraulic systems.

• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
