THE ROLEAs a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding client experiences, working closely with Client Service Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve exceptional results.
You willthrive on problem-solving, bringing strategic insights and practical solutions to complex challenges while managing high-quality, profitable projects.
DUTIESPrepare and review financial statements and tax returns across a broad range of entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Deliver tailored business and taxation advice to help clients achieve their strategic goals.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, offering technical guidance and ongoing support.
Oversee tax compliance obligations, including BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, and Division 7 A requirements.
Support audit processes by assisting with client audits and responding to audit-related queries.
Stay current with evolving tax legislation and emerging industry developments to ensure up-to-date client service.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEOver 7 years of experience in a public practice accounting environment.
CA or CPA qualified (or currently completing certification).
In-depth understanding of Australian tax law and accounting standards.
Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to effectively manage clients.
Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Proficient in accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, and comparable platforms.
Highly motivated team player with a proactive mindset and commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
