Boardwalk Burleigh Beach Resort is seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance All-Rounder to join our team on a casual basis in Burleigh Heads, Queensland.
As part of our committed facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our resort operates smoothly and our guests enjoy a wonderful experience.
This position would suit a candidate who was semi-retired or looking to cut back from a 40 hour week and would preferably be an immediate start.
What you'll be doing
Perform a variety of general maintenance tasks across the resort, including carpentry, plastering and painting work.
Plastering and painting experience would be an advantage.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
Assist with the upkeep of the apartments.
Collaborate with the facilities team to implement preventative maintenance programs
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and follow relevant policies and procedures
Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety guidelines
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role, preferably in a hospitality or resort setting
Demonstrated proficiency in a range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plastering and painting
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly
Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to interact positively with guests and colleagues
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate common power tools and equipment
