Lead Data Consultant Location : Sydney Work Type : Permanent The Role We're looking for a Lead Data Consultant to drive complex data migration initiatives within the banking sector.
This is a role in a high-impact transformation program, requiring both technical expertise and strategic insight.
You'll be deeply involved in solution design and hands-on delivery, while also guiding clients on best practices, migration roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies.
Your ability to translate intricate technical concepts into clear, board-level communication will be a key differentiator.
What You'll Be Doing Lead data migration planning and execution across large-scale banking platforms (core systems, reporting layers, regulatory datasets, etc.)Engage directly with senior business and technical stakeholders to define migration scope, approach, and success criteria Analyse existing data landscapes and develop fit-for-purpose migration strategies , aligned to business risk appetite and timelines Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and PMs to ensure seamless migration delivery across multiple phases Serve as the trusted advisor to clients guiding them through critical decision points on tooling, sequencing, validation, and cutover Identify risks, dependencies, and remediation strategies across the migration lifecycle Prepare and present clear, concise migration plans and status updates to executive audiences Ensure alignment with regulatory, privacy, and data governance frameworks What You'll Bring Proven track record delivering end-to-end data migrations in banking or financial services Deep familiarity with data structures, ETL tools, cleansing / validation , and cutover strategies Strong capability in stakeholder management across business, operations, and ITExperience working in consulting-style environments or internal transformation teams Excellent documentation, reporting, and executive-level communication skills Why You'll Love It Exposure to enterprise-scale banking systems Be part of a high-impact 3-year transformation Be part of a program that values clarity, trust, and true expertise Apply For more information on this exciting new role, please APPLY NOW or contact Rebecca Mc Cormick on rebecca.mccormick@emanatetechnology.com.au
