The Opportunity This leadership role is crucial as we expand in the market.
The Head of Quality oversees all Quality and Compliance activities across sites via an experienced Quality Team.
They ensure systems are compliant with regulatory requirements for manufacturing, supply, and sponsorship of therapeutic goods, promoting a Quality Culture centered on patient welfare, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
This position can be based at any Australian site (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide) or Auckland, New Zealand.
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
Key Responsibilities Contribute to business strategy by understanding regulatory trends and identifying improvement opportunities.
Define and monitor Pharmaceutical Quality Systems (PQS) performance.
Ensure all Quality activities meet regulatory standards.
Represent Slade Health on relevant regulatory forums.
Maintain manufacturing licenses and manage regulatory inspections.
Project manage Quality initiatives.
Lead the department through effective management, guidance, and communication.
Meet all departmental KPIs.

Candidate Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in a Science discipline or relevant experience.
At least 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with real-time release.
Strong business planning and strategic skills.
Knowledge of regulatory expectations for sterile medicines and controlled drugs.
Experience in team development and coaching.
Effective problem-solving skills ensuring quality standards.
Proven leadership and management capabilities.
