The role As the Head of Delivery Technology and Automation, and under the direction of our Chief Technical Officer, you will provide oversight, leadership, and technical expertise in designing scalable data systems, managing spatial and project data, and enabling streamlined, automated workflows across multiple business entities.
You'll lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team providing mentorship, performance management, and professional development.
Establishing clear goals and expectations while fostering collaboration and accountability to deliver outcomes that align with strategic objectives.
Acting as a key escalation point by providing solutions and guidance for complex project challenges, ensuring the team's workload and priorities are balanced effectively.
You'll support the people and culture development in the technical and automation team.
In this role, you will develop and implement a long-term technology roadmap aligned with organisational priorities.
Leading key automation and digital delivery initiatives in collaboration with delivery teams and business stakeholders.
You'll cultivate and maintain strong relationships with CCG business and incubation leaders, the Clean Energy Regulator, clients, and other key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Representing the organisation in external forums, compliance discussions, and community consultations to ensure the company's interests are well-advocated and understood You will lead the technical coordination of spatial data handling, ensuring effective systems for version control, data wrangling, and storage.
You'll support geospatial analysis and visualisation as part of broader delivery systems.
You'll oversee concurrent technical projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring quality, timely outcomes and effective collaboration across internal and external teams.
Ensuring consistent documentation, versioning, quality assurance, and data security practices are maintained across all technical assets and systems.

Knowledge and experience A graduate qualification in environmental, engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
Minimum four years' experience in a similar role with relevant experience.
Extensive and demonstrated experience in managing spatial and technical data workflows, with a track record in automation, scripting and data infrastructure.
Ability to grasp technical concepts, standards and regulatory requirements.
Strong command of R and Python for scripting, and experience with Git Hub/version control tools.
Understanding of project delivery principles, standards, practices and frameworks.
Proven agent of continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders including employees.
Implementing bespoke project delivery and compliance processes and systems.
