The Queensland Police Service (QPS) Employee Relations team is seeking experienced professionals to provide expert advice on industrial relations, HR policies, and strategic employment frameworks.In this role, you will work closely with senior management, providing guidance on awards, agreements, legislation, and policies.
You will play a key role in negotiating and implementing enterprise bargaining agreements, resolving workplace disputes, and advocating in tribunals and high-level negotiations.This recruitment process may also be used to fill future vacancies.
A short questionnaire is included in the application to help us understand your skills and experience.Apply now and contribute to shaping fair and effective workplace practices across the QPS.Your Key Accountabilities The core capability requirements for this role are: Provide expert advice to senior management of the Queensland Police Service on contemporary industrial relations, high level dispute resolution, strategic employment frameworks and the management of enterprise bargaining agreements.
Provide interpretation advice on awards, enterprise bargaining agreements, legislation and policies to all levels of management and employees.
Assist in the negotiation, development and implementation of enterprise bargaining agreements for all employee groups, including negotiating with relevant unions/employee representatives.
Resolve grievances and disputes through the provision of advice to management or by independent review and reporting.
Prepare briefing material, cabinet submissions and correspondence in relation to industrial relations issues, employment and policy frameworks and best practice.
Appear as an industrial advocate in Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, other tribunals and at high level negotiations with a range of stakeholders.
Other Role Requirements Experience in an Industrial Relations and/or legislative interpretation context will be considered favourably.
