Employment Type: Visiting Medical Officer Temporary up to 12 months Position Classification: Visiting Medical Officer Requisition ID: REQ597921 Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Canterbury Hospital.
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officerin Gastroenterology The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Gastroenterology/Hepatology and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities under the General Medicine Department and The Canterbury Hospital as required.
In addition, the role will also require participation in the Gastroenterology/Liver consultant roster, in particular for inpatient consults and the Liver Clinic which has an emphasis on providing ambulatory care to patients in our local community with hepatitis and related complications.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Gastroenterology) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.
Salaryand conditions are in accordance withthe NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
