TDA is seeking a Head of Partnerships to lead our advertising and commercial partnerships strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive revenue growth at Australia's most innovative youth media company while helping brands authentically connect with millions of young Australians.
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you'll own TDA's advertising revenue strategy across newsletters, podcasts, and social media.
You'll lead a growing commercial team while building meaningful partnerships with brands that share our values and mission.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Set and execute comprehensive commercial strategy for advertising partnerships Lead quarterly planning and revenue forecasting across all advertising channels Drive innovation in partnership formats and commercial products Build TDA's reputation as the premium youth media partner Revenue Generation & Team Management Own TDA's advertising revenue target across newsletters, podcasts, and social media Lead and develop the commercial team Manage major client relationships and high-value partnership negotiations Drive new business development with agencies and direct clients Develop new advertising products and partnership formats Create compelling pitch materials and commercial strategies Ensure all partnerships align with TDA's editorial values and audience interests Build scalable partnership processes that grow with the business Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with editorial team to maintain content quality in commercial partnerships Partner with stakeholders on new advertising formats and audience insights Collaborate with leadership on strategic business development Support brand partnerships that enhance TDA's mission and impact What We're Looking For 4+ years in media sales, advertising, or partnership management Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets Experience managing and developing sales teams Strong understanding of digital advertising and youth media landscape Background in newsletter, podcast, or social media advertising preferred Key Attributes Strategic thinker who can build scalable partnership systems Natural relationship builder who creates lasting client connections Data-informed approach to partnership development Passion for TDA's mission and understanding of young Australian audiences Leadership skills that inspire and develop team members Excellent communication and presentation abilities Industry Knowledge Deep understanding of Australian media landscape Experience with agency relationships and media buying processes Knowledge of advertising metrics and performance measurement Familiarity with youth culture and social media trends What We Offer Lead commercial strategy at Australia's most innovative news organisation Work with passionate team making real social impact Build something meaningful with TDA's senior leaders Competitive salary and performance incentives Meaningful equity participation Based in Sydney (Surry Hills) Full-time in-person position, with flexible work arrangements Seniority level Seniority level Director Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Business Development and Sales Industries Newspaper Publishing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Daily Aus by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for "Head of Partnerships" roles.
