Part Time Position, 24 Hours per Week Optical Dispenser Experience Required.
Rotating roster which includes weekend work; hours 8:30 am to 9:00 pm.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist members with choosing eyeglass frames and lens options appropriate to prescriptions.
Fit and adjust lenses to eyeglass frames.
Dispense eyeglasses and contacts.
Measure members' eyes for pupillary distance and determine bifocal placement.
Answer questions and address problems regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services.
Refer to physicians when appropriate.
Process sales.
Organize and fill member prescriptions.
Place special orders with outside suppliers.
Stock department equipment, merchandise, and supplies.
Follow department procedures and standards for production, record keeping, merchandising, and merchandise storage.
Clean the department.
Take optical measurements and educate members on the best products to meet their visual needs.
Count register at sign-on.
Ensure the register's cleanliness.
Order change and increase loans as needed.
Make deposits of excess funds.
Count own register at shift end to maintain accurate register funds.
Receive accurate payment for merchandise; make change; process credit and debit charges according to proper departmental procedures for paperwork and duties.
Exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information.
Follow proper Optical Centre, general safety, and security procedures and standards.
Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.
