Why You'll Love This Role You'll be the City's lead data analyst, reporting to the Applications and Data Lead and working across business units to transform data into actionable insights.
This is your opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making—designing and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, building predictive models, and developing dashboards that make performance visible and measurable.
You'll be a trusted advisor, helping teams unlock the power of data to improve services and outcomes for our community.
You'll work within a collaborative ICT environment, leading data warehouse development, API integrations, and business intelligence initiatives that support the City's digital transformation.
What You'll Be Doing Lead the design and delivery of analytics and reporting solutions Build models for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics Develop dashboards and visualisations using BI tools (e.g.
Power BI)Build and manage data warehouse pipelines and API integrations Conduct data cleansing, mapping and conversion Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs and performance metrics Support digital transformation through innovative data strategies Provide training and support for reporting tools Maintain data integrity, availability and security across systems What You'll Bring We're looking for a qualified and experienced WHS professional who's passionate about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces.
You'll ideally bring: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar Certification or experience in BI, analytics and reporting tools Strong skills in data modelling, cleansing and analysis Experience with Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and T-SQLProgramming experience in R, Python, Java/.
Net Knowledge of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data Experience with Hadoop, Spark and other big data frameworks (desirable)Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes Why You'll Love Working Here Work Your Way Flex your schedule with 9-day fortnights, WFH options, and phased retirement.
