Our Online Learning Advisors (OLAs) are subject matter experts who facilitate learning and help students achieve their goals.
Who are we looking for?Our OLAs are motivated by student success and passionate about online education.
You will facilitate planned academic content and serve as the first point of contact and support for online students.
The OLA role is remote, offering flexibility in where and when you work.
The expected workload is 4 hours per week per group, with no more than 48 hours between logins.
Candidates should be proactive, dependable, and have a remote working environment capable of providing high-level student support.
Responsibilities include : Delivering planned academic content, learning activities, and assessment tasks, including moderation, assessment, and feedback.
The unit is pre-planned; your role is to facilitate, guide, and advise students during the teaching period.
Marking, processing, and submitting assessment results within established guidelines and deadlines.
Must be able to : Deliver one 3-hour live, synchronous online workshop per unit each week.
Prepare brief teaching materials, such as slides or activity sheets, as needed.
Must-have qualifications and experience : TEQSA AQF level 8 qualification or higher.
A law degree meeting the academic requirements for admission to legal practice in your Australian state or territory.3-5 years of industry experience, preferably as a Lawyer, Solicitor, or Barrister.
Alternatively, a Masters in Law with significant industry experience or a Ph D in Law or a related field, or enrolled in a Ph D program expected to complete within 2 years.
Additional skills include : High-level written communication skills.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Comfort with learning new technologies.
Empathy for online students' challenges.
A passion for student success.
Applicants without current or former legal practice experience should demonstrate engagement in academic or professional activities over the past 5 years, such as conference participation, publications, or involvement with professional bodies.
Applicants with a Masters of Laws or related qualification and significant industry experience will also be considered.
Legal practice in Australia and a current practicing certificate are desirable.
Desirable qualifications : Experience teaching at the tertiary level.
A Masters in Law.
Enrolled in or completing a Ph D in Law or a related field within 2 years.
Training : A paid 3-week online training course starting September 22, 2025, will prepare you for success in this role.
