They work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to improve patients' communication abilities and articulate fluency.
Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose communication and swallowing disorders in patientsDevelop treatment plans and maintain detailed records of progress and treatment outcomesProvide individual or group therapy to patientsTrain family members, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals on ways to support patients' communication development and careCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patientsDesign and provide augmentative and alternative communication devices to patientsAssess and treat patients with voice disordersDevelop and implement programs to prevent communication and swallowing disordersParticipate in interdisciplinary clinical teams and conduct researchMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation of patient care Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current license to practice as a Speech Pathologist in Australia, with Speech Pathology AustraliaAbility to conduct thorough evaluations, make accurate diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plansExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with patients of all ages and diverse cultural backgroundsWillingness to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionalsStrong critical thinking, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsRegistration with the relevant professional body or association is essential Apply now or tag someone who would be a perfect fit Learn more and apply here: or email )
