About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Part Time position, 2 days per week, for 12 months, within the billing and accounts team at RCH Laboratory Services.
As a key member of the Accounts team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support with billing, claims processing and revenue generation for pathology services provided by the RCH Laboratories.
Classification for this position will range from AO21 – AO25, Grade 2 Level 1 to Grade 2 Level 5 ($66,768 - $73,811 per annum, pro-rata, plus Superannuation plus Salary Packaging)
What you'll achieve:
Develop and maintain a sound understanding of pathology billing systems and processes
Work with an experienced and supportive team providing top level customer service
Liaise with both internal and external parties to build effective relationships
Your skills and experience
Experience in accurate data processing within high volume billing environment
Ability to prioritise, flexibility and willingness to adapt to change
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Highly motivated team member

The department of Laboratory Services – RCH Pathology provides a comprehensive, high quality diagnostic pathology service to both the Royal Children's Hospital and the Royal Women's Hospital, as well as to Specialist Consultants and General Practitioners in the community and around the world.

Victorian Department of Health has endorsed the initiative to restructure existing public pathology by bringing together laboratories into pathology networks operating under a lead health service.
Pathology services from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter Mac Callum Cancer Centre, the Royal Women's Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital will transition to a single pathology service.
This creates an exciting opportunity to strengthen the scope, scale and reach of pathology services across the Parkville precinct to benefit all Victorians.
This role will be part of the new centre of excellence that will be led by Melbourne Health.
