We're looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team at Taronga Western Plains Zoo - Dubbo.
As Payroll Officer, you'll ensure our passionate team is supported with accurate, timely pay.
This role involves more than just numbers; it's about creating a seamless employee experience, improving systems, and being part of an organisation with purpose.
You'll work in a collaborative, energetic team, get hands-on with our systems (SAP Success Factors, ECP, and UKG Dimensions), and contribute to continual process improvements.

About the Role…
To effectively provide and deliver accurate and timely payroll services to all Taronga employees and to contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll functionality and our time and attendance processes for the Taronga Conservation Society Australia.
Key Accountabilities…
Process and maintain accurate payroll transactions in accordance with relevant legislation, industrial instruments, and company policies, focusing on timely and consistent service delivery.
Respond to and resolve routine to moderately complex payroll queries from employees and managers regarding pay, entitlements, deductions, and time and attendance records.
Prepare regular payroll reports and assist with the analysis of payroll and employee-related data, in conjunction with the time and attendance system.
Identify and help resolve discrepancies in payroll processing, escalating complex issues to senior payroll staff as required.
Maintain accurate employee data within payroll systems (currently SAP Success Factors and UKG Dimensions), and assist with system updates or corrections as directed.
Support compliance activities, including assisting with documentation and data preparation for internal and external audits.
Participate in system and process improvement initiatives, including user testing and data validation, under the direction of the Payroll Manager or project team.
About You…
We are looking for candidates that have :
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), with preference for experience with SAP Success Factors, Employee Central Payroll, and UKG Pro Dimensions.
A sound understanding of payroll functions, procedures, and legislation.
Experience in a similar role.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
Obtain and maintain a current volunteer NSW Working with Children Check at own expense.
