Senior Analyst, Data Integrity

This permanent role focuses on establishing formal data management and data governance functions to mature the organisation's data capability with a specific emphasis on the business intelligence function.
Responsibilities Review and enhance documentation governing the approach and plans for the management of data created, stored and curated by the Business Intelligence team; ensure documentation is scalable for organisation-wide use and establishes firm foundations in the rigour and processes of the function.
Build and document a data governance framework, including policies and templates for data management to support key activities.
Establish a sustainable, fit-for-purpose Data Governance approach; deliverables may include: reviewing existing governance arrangements; establishing oversight structures; developing policies and procedures for data management; identifying opportunities/risks and recommending mitigation actions; defining roles and responsibilities.
Define and implement formalised data policies and procedures in areas such as data retention and disposal, cataloguing data, data quality management, data access and release, data security, data storage, metadata management, and handling of sensitive data.
Adopt a rigorous but light-touch governance approach aligned with best practice, scaled for the organisation and flexible for a small, dynamic team; develop additional artefacts to support effective data management.
Assist in uplifting business requirements management processes to enable more effective, efficient, and targeted business outcomes; contribute to development of mature data products that satisfy and automate statutory reporting obligations.
Engage a consultancy to: gather and document stakeholder requirements (industry best practices such as BABOK), review the existing BI product suite (dashboards, reports, etc.), and design a pipeline of work to prioritise dashboards and reports and specify the business requirements they will satisfy.
Design and document a regime for governance, discovery, preparation, planning, building, publishing, and implementing for every new data project; define internal use cases and personas for key roles and teams; enhance understanding of the BA process through training.
Deliverables include, but are not limited to: review and update Business Requirement Specification documents; interview stakeholders (workshops); holistic review of dashboards and reports against requirements; design development pipeline; document process to facilitate the build phase.
Essential criteria Demonstrated understanding of the services required, including identification of key challenges and principles; demonstrated experience in delivering similar services.
