About The Role: The Procurement Manager roles provide professional procurement advice to clients and facilitate the development of significant State agency contracts.
This involves developing procurement plans, tender documents, and evaluation reports and assisting in contract negotiations.
The positions will provide expert support and advice for all types of procurement; consult with government agencies, industry, and the community, and maintain positive and effective stakeholder relationships.
These positions also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote compliance with the WA Procurement Rules and the Department's standards, processes, and procedures.
Eight (8) vacancies are being filled immediately in the following teams: General Agencies (3 x Permanent and 1 x Fixed Term to 30 June 2026) – goods and services procurement facilitating complex contracts for a range of State agencies.
Strategic Procurement Services (1 x Permanent or Fixed Term) – goods and services procurement facilitating complex contracts for large, high-risk and/or high-value projects for a range of State agencies.
Health (1 x Permanent) – goods and services procurement facilitating complex contracts for the WA Health sector.
Education and Training (1 x Fixed Term to 30 June 2026) – goods and services procurement facilitating complex contracts for the WA Education and Training sector.
Law and Order (1 x Fixed Term to 30 June 2026) – goods and services procurement facilitating complex contracts for a range of State agencies including those providing fire and emergency services, policing, and justice services to the WA community.
About You: You are a passionate procurement professional who can see the big picture, think and act strategically, and be able to manage uncertainty and risk.
You need to be a strong communicator, pragmatic, and flexible.
You will use your technical knowledge, experience and strong relationships with key stakeholders to influence value for money outcomes.
Your strong work ethic will help to inspire a customer centric and outcomes-focused culture.
The position operates in the Personal Leadership context.
This means that you are required to demonstrate personal accountability for delivering excellence and support your team and agency in delivering strategic goals.
You will be expected to build and nurture relationships and be willing to seek feedback and learn.
