They have experienced strong and continued growth through the past eighteen months and are a nationally recognised name in Australian households. The head office is based in a central Melbourne location, but this role offers great working from home flexibility - there is no mandate to go into the office currently.
**Primary purpose**
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager (IT) will develop and implement sourcing strategies for a large IT portfolio, encompassing software, hardware, telecommunications and professional services. With a focus on key IT towers such as Unified Commerce, Architecture and Operations, major projects in the first 12 months will include a key data centre negotiation and hardware and software rollout for POS within stores.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and deliver successful competitive RFIs and RFPs
- Provide procurement governance and guidance to internal and external stakeholders in relation to Myer Procurement policies
- Meet savings targets by sourcing competitive contracts and managing existing contracts
- Conduct reporting on key functional metrics to reduce company expense and improve business efficiencies
- Enhance Myer procurement processes, frameworks and self-service model through continuous improvement initiatives
**Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 5 years' end-to-end procurement experience
- Prior experience within category management, and specifically experience in the IT or Software categories
- Strong experience within sourcing and proven ability to achieve cost savings
- Ability to work well in a team, establish rapport and build strong internal and external relationships
- Maintained currency of IT market knowledge and trends
