Construction Delivery Manager
In this senior role, you'll take the reins on delivering complex, multimillion-dollar projects, coaching growing delivery teams, driving consistency, and embedding high-quality systems and standards on site.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will be responsible for leading a team of capable, committed PMs, Supervisors, and Contract Administrators across a range of urban and remote project environments.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply experienced in construction, process-focused, and passionate about building people as much as building projects.
You won't be stuck behind a desk, we are looking for someone who stays close to the work, connects with site teams, and leads from the front.
Responsibilities: Lead the safe, high-quality delivery of Commercial and Defence projects across the NT.
Oversee and mentor a delivery team including PMs, Site Managers, Supervisors, Junior PMs, and CAs.
Collaborate with the Head of Estimating and Commercial Manager to take over projects at mobilisation.
Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and key delivery stakeholders.
Own HSE and QA performance across all sites.
Drive consistent use of Procore across all delivery workflows - site reporting, QA, HSE, budget, program.
Visit project sites regularly - support your teams, lead through presence, not just emails.
Solve delivery issues early, manage resourcing, and make informed decisions under pressure.
Help lift the capability of a young, eager delivery team through structure, clarity, and coaching.
Preferred Experience:10+ years in commercial construction with a proven track record in project delivery ($5m projects).
Strong background in leading multiple teams and projects across commercial and/or defence sectors.
Remote delivery experience preferred - logistics, comms, and problem-solving outside metro areas.
Familiar with D&C and AS contracts.
Experience driving adoption of project delivery software (ideally Procore).
Skills & Traits: Exceptional people leader - can motivate, mentor, and set clear expectations.
Systems thinker - cares about consistency and building repeatable, scalable processes.
Highly accountable - owns the outcomes and brings a solutions mindset.
Collaborative communicator - clear, grounded, and easy to work with.
Site-smart - someone who understands how jobs really run.
Procore confident - knows the value of visibility and using data to stay in control.
Why join M+J Builders: You'll be part of a tight-knit, down-to-earth team that takes pride in building things properly.
With a strong pipeline of work across both the commercial and defence sectors, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside senior leaders who genuinely back their teams and invest in their people.
Most importantly, this role offers the chance to not only manage but shape and lead a growing division.
Additionally, you will receive a competitive salary, vehicle, laptop and phone.
Please direct all confidential enquiries to Donna Ferris, Director, TESS Search Partners or alternatively, apply and we will reach out to discuss your interest.
