All staff will have the opportunity to access training and support to assist with career development and growthAbout The Role As Team Leader you will be responsible forleading the tree team to deliver arboriculture services that ensure the maintenance and improvement of Parramatta's Street trees, parks, and open spaces to enhance the appearance of our great cityJoining our parks team means being a part of a dynamic and fulfilling workplace, where your contributions directly impact the overall experience of our community.
Key Responsibilities: Carry out horticultural & arboriculture activities to ensure the City of Parramatta's parks are presented to the highest standards.
Make decisions and implement work practices in line with best practices of the Horticulture/Arboriculture/Greenkeeping, trade and industry.
Mentor staff within the team and undertake on-the-job training for the team.
Undertake the day-to-day management of staff and their assigned tasks.
Adapt to changing priorities and undertake other tasks as directed, to assist other teams and operational areas, particularly in wet weather or other emergencies to meet community needs.
About You The successful applicant will have previous experience in leading teams, particularly in arboriculture services.
As the team leader you will be responsible for overseeing team operations, assigning tasks, planning of works, establishing goals, encouraging open communication and be able to distribute information amongst the team.

Certificate I and II in Chainsaw Operations Hold a current NSW MR Driver's License White Card Elevated Work Platform What's on offer: This is a Permanent Full-Time position.
Monday-Friday6:00am-3:00pm38 hours per week Fortnightly rostered day off We are offering an attractive remuneration from $78,199 to $86,118 plus 12% Superannuation.
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
