As the Portfolio Management Specialist, you will oversee the performance and strategic direction of Vero's SME portfolio, a vital part of our Commercial Insurance offerings.
You'll work within a collaborative team focused on sustainable growth, broker enablement, and platform innovation.
This role provides opportunities to influence portfolio outcomes through data-driven insights and strategic execution, with clear career progression pathways.
What you'll do Analyze portfolio performance using internal and external data sources (Tableau dashboards, COGNOS, industry reports) to identify actionable insights.
Develop and implement proposals for portfolio improvements, including tactical and strategic pricing adjustments.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Finance, Actuarial) to align initiatives with business strategy.
Engage with external stakeholders such as distribution partners to enhance platform performance and broker connectivity.
Implement and monitor initiatives that improve profitability, ensuring benefits are realized and sustained.
Create compelling data narratives to communicate complex analytics to non-technical audiences.
Stay informed about claim trends and risk profiles to guide portfolio decisions.
Contribute insights and updates on portfolio initiatives during performance meetings.
What you'll bring Minimum 5+ years' experience in General Insurance, preferably with actuarial and/or analytics expertise.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or Actuarial Science (preferred).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract actionable insights from data.
Proficiency in Tableau, COGNOS, and other BI tools.
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Curiosity and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement and innovation.
Familiarity with emerging AI technologies in insurance.
