Overview We currently have a number of Consultant Psychiatrist positions across General Adult and Inpatient services, Community Mental Health, Emergency Department and Mental Health Emergency Centre.
This is a Recruitment Pool for permanent and fixed-term appointments.
Full-time, part-time and sessional opportunities exist.

Position Profile We are seeking to appoint suitably qualified Consultant Psychiatrists to the Mental Health Division across Royal Perth Hospital, Armadale Mental Health Service, City East Community Mental Health Service and Bentley Mental Health Service.
Across these positions the Consultant Psychiatrist will promote patient safety and quality of care whilst providing leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers.
This position, in collaboration with the Medical Co-Director, Service Director, Head of Department, Clinical Leads and other Consultants, works to achieve national, state and EMHS performance standards and targets.
The Consultant Psychiatrist works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.
Area Profile East Metropolitan Health Service provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for ages 16 years and above, through community mental health services and hospitals.
EMHS has two major mental health divisions; Royal Perth Bentley Group and Armadale Health Services catering mental health services for different suburbs under East Metropolitan areas.
The Royal Perth Bentley Group Mental Health Division is the largest Mental Health Service within the East Metropolitan Health Service, with a focus on inpatient, outpatient and community services across multiple sites and beds.
The Armadale Health Services provides inpatient, outpatient and community services for adults and older adults predominantly from the Armadale, Gosnells and Serpentine-Jarrahdale local government areas.
