The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Head of Funds Management, the Head of Asset Management will lead Sentinel's Asset Management division, overseeing the strategic direction and operational performance of a diverse national portfolio.
You will be responsible for driving the performance of key departments including Leasing (Retail, Office, Industrial), Projects (Minor Works & Tenancy Design & Delivery) and Property Management.
This is a pivotal leadership role, collaborating closely with the CEO, Head of Funds Management, Head of Development, Director of Business Development and other senior executives to deliver strategic asset plans that align with Sentinel's fund and trust investment strategies.
You will ensure optimal performance, unlock value-add opportunities, and maintain robust relationships with investors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement and oversee comprehensive Strategic Asset Plans for each fund, supporting growth, value-add initiatives and defined exit strategies.
Lead, mentor and develop department heads and broader teams, setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback and driving a high-performance culture.
Collaborate across functions to align strategy, people performance, and investor outcomes.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with major tenants, investors, and industry stakeholders, acting as a senior external representative for Sentinel.
Oversee and direct leasing strategies to optimise occupancy, income growth, tenancy remixing and reduce holdovers.
Partner with the Head of Development to identify, assess and deliver value-add projects aligned with strategic plans.
Monitor market conditions, economic trends and investment opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
Manage asset valuations in consultation with Capital Transactions and ensure processes align with trust objectives.
Support the Head of Funds Management and senior executive team with detailed financial performance analysis, reporting and risk management.
Contribute to fundraising activities and investor communications as required.
Promote succession planning by identifying and nurturing future leaders, ensuring talent pipelines and minimising turnover.
Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business or related field (MBA or advanced degree highly regarded).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial, industrial and/or retail asset management or funds management, with demonstrated success in managing large, complex portfolios.
Proven leadership experience managing medium to large teams.
Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modelling, investment analysis and risk management.
Deep understanding of property markets, leasing, development processes and value-add initiatives.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in investors, tenants and senior executives alike.
