About the role As Dev Ops Lead, you will facilitate the evolution, enhancement, and adoption of Dev Ops capabilities across Suncorp's platforms, focusing on agility, operational excellence, and platform efficiency.
You will lead and mentor a team of Dev Ops engineers, designing, building, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and scalable, secure infrastructure.
Collaborating with Agile teams, you will embed best practices into the development lifecycle, optimize workflows through automation, and ensure solutions meet high standards of quality, compliance, and operational performance aligned with business objectives.
What you'll do Lead the delivery of a strategic Dev Ops roadmap, ensuring prioritization, resource alignment, and business value realization.
Promote Agile and Dev Ops practices, fostering a culture of automation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Oversee CI/CD pipeline maintenance and optimization, resolving deployment challenges and enhancing delivery speed.
Drive automation and self-service strategies to increase productivity and reduce operational bottlenecks.
Improve platform monitoring for proactive issue detection and resolution.
Lead, mentor, and upskill the team, encouraging innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
What you'll bring5+ years of scripting and automation experience with Python, Shell, Java Script, Terraform, Ansible, and REST API integrations.
Strong AWS skills: EC2, S3, networking, Kubernetes (EKS), Open Shift (ROSA), and cloud automation.
Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI/CD, or Bamboo with Git version control.
Skilled in integrating security, monitoring, and observability tools like Snyk, Fortify, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Service Now.
Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Azure Dev Ops, and automated testing tools to enhance delivery pipelines.
