We're now looking for a DevOps Lead Engineer to guide our DevOps capability, drive innovation, and help shape the future of our infrastructure.
What you'll doYou'll be the technical lead for all things DevOps balancing performance, security, and cost while mentoring the team and driving continuous improvement.
In this role, you will:
- Lead & Mentor – guide the DevOps team, support skills growth, and champion best practices.
- Architect & Deliver – design, build, and optimise secure Azure infrastructure.
- Automate Everything – implement and refine Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Champion Security – lead cloud security design and enforcement, from identity to encryption.
- Optimise Costs & Performance – continuously monitor, tune, and improve infrastructure.
- Collaborate & Influence – work closely with development, security, and business teams to deliver solutions that meet both technical and operational goals.
- Document Everything – maintain clear, high-quality documentation for all systems, processes, and designs.
- Respond & Resolve – own incident management and lead root cause analysis.
- Proven leadership experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles.
- Expert-level skills in Azure cloud architecture, deployment, and management.
- Strong IaC experience (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Cloud security leadership – IAM, network security, encryption, and compliance.
- Monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimisation expertise.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to mentor and grow a technical team.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-500, AZ-700)
- NV1 clearance in hand
- Security as Code experience
