Operations Manager – Civil Construction

We're partnering with a rapidly growing civil contractor with a strong track record delivering local council road upgrades and mining infrastructure projects across Queensland.
With a growing pipeline and a focus on quality and relationships, the business is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead project delivery across multiple sites.
About the Role: This is a pivotal leadership position overseeing projects throughout Central and regional Queensland.
You'll play a hands-on role across precontracts, planning, delivery oversight, client engagement, and team leadership – ensuring excellence across safety, quality, budget, and program performance.
• Could be based on the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane or Central QLD with travel)
• Travel required 2–3 days per week (1–2 nights away)
• Remaining days can be worked remotely/from home
• Lead project teams across TMR, council, and resource-sector civil projects What We're Looking For:
• Civil Engineering degree (essential)
• Proven experience delivering local government and TMR road projects
• Exposure to mining infrastructure (desirable)
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail, commercial acumen, and a collaborative approach
• Comfortable with regular regional travel (2 nights/week) Why Join?
