Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven General Manager of Civil Construction to lead our residential division and oversee the strategic and operational management of our projects.

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of residential civil projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, directing project teams, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and engineers with a focus on performance, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to optimize profitability while meeting project specifications and client expectations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, address key challenges such as labor shortages and supply chain disruptions, and enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, ensuring all projects meet safety, legal, and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead End-to-End Project Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of residential civil projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide Strategic and Operational Leadership: Direct project teams, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and engineers with a focus on performance, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to optimize profitability while meeting project specifications and client expectations.
  • Optimize Project Delivery and Processes: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, address key challenges such as labor shortages and supply chain disruptions, and enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensure Compliance and Risk Management: Uphold WHS regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, ensuring all projects meet safety, legal, and operational requirements.
About You:

You will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing complex civil construction projects. Key attributes and requirements include:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in civil construction management, particularly in residential townhouse projects.
  • Leadership: Exceptional team leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire staff and stakeholders.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Expertise: Strong understanding of industry regulations, compliance requirements, infrastructure, and land development processes.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strategic Execution: A strategic and innovative thinker who excels in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and results.
