Job Title: Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading engineering projects of moderate-to-considerable difficulty, complexity, and risk. This includes ensuring deliverables agreed with clients are met, taking full ownership of all aspects of project management and delivery, and managing the cost of service delivery to ensure projects are achieved within budget constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering projects of moderate-to-considerable difficulty, complexity, and risk.
  • Take full ownership of all aspects of project management and delivery.
  • Manage the cost of service delivery to ensure projects are achieved within budget constraints.
  • Identify and manage risks and potential problems to keep projects on time without exceeding budget.
  • Administer and manage the procurement, engagement, and execution of contract work to meet overall schedule and project objectives.
  • Ensure projects are achieved within set time constraints by taking necessary corrective actions without exceeding budget.
  • Coordinate quality assurance and quality control by implementing work procedures, auditing conformance of projects, and recording and reporting on work quality.

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering is required.
  • Possession of a current 'C' Class driver's licence.
  • Possession of a current 'Work safely in the construction industry' Competency (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated well-developed technical knowledge and skills in civil engineering, construction management, and procurement.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant WHS, Environmental, and quality policies and procedures in the operational field environment.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Project and works management software tools such as SAP and other general office software packages.
  • Experience in delivery and management of civil construction projects.
  • Strong oral/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
