About the role The Major Projects Asset Coordinator role is part of the Major Projects team, who are responsible for allocating and managing project management resources across the group.
The team works closely with various stakeholders to grow the business and deliver on our brand promise 'to make your job easy'.
This includes providing customer solutions through equipment, resources and technology.
The role's focus is to coordinate all of the equipment required to enable us to deliver major projects by sourcing of equipment and ensuring it is site complaint for the mobilisation of Major Projects and the ongoing project equipment needs for sites.
This role requires you to: Ensure all equipment being supplied to sites meets all manufacturer, site and Kennards Hire safety requirements.
Manage customer expectation through timely communication, progress reporting and transparency of scope changes to the wider Major Projects team Develop and grow our position as a key supplier for major projects through exceptional operational execution and customer relationships Identify project risks and develop contingency plans Plan, monitor and report on project progress including risks/issue and mitigation Develop and manage to project budgets.
Together with Commercial analyse, review and recommend pricing structures for projects, ensuring each project is within profit guidelines Liaise with existing Kennard's Hire key stakeholders to source equipment and manage the hire transaction for any event activity.
Manage 'used' equipment back through into the General Hire business.
Manage any hire transactional paperwork for projects (hire contract integrity, subcontractor purchase orders, customer billing accuracy etc) Develop a schedule for mobilisation and demobilisation of plant and equipment with the customer Source appropriate Kennard's Hire staff or external subcontractors to provide sufficient levels of support to any project from start to finish Be a point of escalation for the Site Manager, customer, and internal stakeholders and manage issues as required.
About you Thorough understanding of industry safety requirements, and site equipment standards Knowledge of mobile plant, access, power generation, minor tools and a mechanical aptitude highly regarded Knowledge of equipment capabilities and capacities/industry people and processes Excellence in customer service Exceptional communication and relationship building skills across all levels Experience in managing escalated customer concerns and issues Current drivers licence Ability to work in an highly active environment Join our team You can always tell someone who works at Kennards Hire.
