Key Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in legacy software maintenance for Mainframe and Solaris-hosted applications.
This role will focus on sustaining and optimising mission-critical systems, driving improvements, and ensuring operational excellence through 24/7 application support.
The ideal candidate will combine solid technical expertise with problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance legacy Java applications hosted on Mainframe/Solaris.
Optimise applications to extend usability and minimise downtime.
Conduct testing and provide end-user support for legacy systems.
Perform in-depth problem analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of incident/problem tickets.
Oversee operational monitoring, alerting, and tuning of systems.
Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions aligned with modern technologies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Ensure robust application control across mainframe architecture, middleware, and tooling.
Deliver 24/7 application support as part of a roster.
Mandatory Requirements Australian citizenship (Baseline Security Clearance recommended).
