If you're a strategic and analytical thinker passionate about sustainability and nature-based solutions, this opportunity is for youThe Opportunity The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our client's commercial growth.
Responsibilities include leading client engagement, identifying new opportunities across target sectors, and building strategic partnerships.
The role involves working closely with the internal project development team to shape bespoke solutions aligned with client needs, market demand, and regulatory or ESG requirements.
The Tasks Lead business development activities across APC's core sectors (government, mining/resources, agriculture, finance, renewables, Aboriginal Corporations, and philanthropic organizations)Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial and funding opportunities, including tenders, grants, and joint ventures Build and manage relationships with corporate, industry, and government entities seeking high-integrity nature-based solutions Collaborate with the internal project development team to design and shape bespoke products and services Develop proposals and support the preparation of investment concepts, bids, and consultancy offers Maintain an understanding of relevant market dynamics (carbon, biodiversity, ESG, offsets, bonds, etc.) and position APC accordingly Support brand positioning, capability development, and strategic messaging Contribute to reporting, pipeline forecasting, and commercial planning alongside the CEOAbout You You are proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with strategic insight, commercial acumen, sector experience, and client-focused delivery, makes you a strong candidate for this hands-on, outward-facing position.
Key Requirements Proven experience in business development or client management within consulting, environmental markets, infrastructure, financial/banking markets, natural resource management, or related sectors Strong track record in securing and managing commercial contracts, tenders, and partnerships Ability to translate client needs into technical project opportunities Knowledge of ESG frameworks, carbon/biodiversity markets, or sustainable development fields Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset Desirable Experience with government and communities, Aboriginal Corporations, resources sector (mining & minerals), agriculture, power, renewables, and energy, banking, and corporate sectors The Benefits Salary based on experience (between $130 K - $150 K)Superannuation Performance incentives (negotiable)Be The First To Know About the latest Business Development Manager jobs in Perth
