Help us push boundaries and deliver excellence.As part of this commitment, reporting to the Vice President of Metallurgy & Processing, the purpose of the role is to support and assist the Group Technical Metallurgy & Processing team (Australia, South America, and Africa) in areas associated with processing and metallurgical disciplines that are applicable globally.This is a hybrid position based in the Perth Office, with regular travel to site required, and is offered on a 5-day on, 2-day off schedule.Why Join Gold Fields?We care for our people; how can we benefit you?6% Site Allowance & Private Health Insurance AllowanceAnnual Bonus and Long-Term Incentive after 3 yearsIncreased annual leave entitlements plus pro rata Long Service Leave after 5 yearsEducational assistance to help you continue to grow and learnFlexible work hours and remote work optionsWhat will you do?As a Senior Specialist, You WillDevelop and maintain Group-level processing-related safety processes, including critical risk identification, mitigation, and assurance.Support the delivery of high-quality results from process plant optimisation initiatives and projectsFacilitate best practice identification and knowledge sharing across the businessEstablish plant performance visualisation tools and response processesOptimisation and standardisation in the management and use of IT systems, information, and dataProvide management and support to operations with metallurgical training and development programsDevelop, update, and support (including management and assurance) the group processing standards and guidelines.About you?You are a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Your strengths lie in stakeholder engagement, compliance, and a passion for sustainable practices.What will you bring and contribute?Extensive technical experience in gold (preferably) mineral processing experienceCompleted a bachelor's degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or equivalentA relevant postgraduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in a related technical discipline OR a proven track record in the management and optimization of operations, including gold.Experience working in fast-paced, agile environmentsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Project management programs, and process plant data historians.Displayed knowledge of leading practices and technologies being applied in the processing disciplines.Ready to take your career to the next level?Applications close 1st August 2025.Visitsubmit your application todayGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
