
Construction Insurance Account Manager

The Account Manager will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills, a strong service ethic, and ensure high-quality service delivery to clients.
Additionally, they will generate new business opportunities to contribute to the team's success and work towards individual and team targets and service level agreements.
The Role Act as a client advocate, ensuring risk management and insurance broking objectives are identified and addressed to deliver high-quality services.
Implement client service strategies in line with Willis Client Service standards.
Manage multi-tier client contact for qualifying accounts, reviewing in accordance with Willis Client Service.
Obtain formal client feedback (Net Promoter Score) annually for qualifying accounts.
Complete the renewal process with no outstanding renewals.
Drive new business development within the team, in consultation with the NSW Construction Practice Leader, using appropriate strategies to gain new clients.
Meet team new business targets annually.
Participate personally in all new business exercises.
Maintain accurate, current, and high-quality information within the pipeline.
Maximize revenue from existing clients through ongoing analysis of profitability and utilization of group facilities.
Manage relationships with insurers by identifying and maintaining strategic partnerships across key markets.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and specific business management processes.
Support training, mentoring, and development within the Construction Practice.
Achieve and maintain compliance with the Financial Services Reform Act Tier 1 education requirement (e.g., Diploma of Financial Services, Insurance Broking).
Undertake ongoing professional development as outlined in your Continuing Professional Development Plan.
Qualifications and Requirements Experience as an Account Manager within the insurance broking industry, preferably in construction.
Ability to understand client needs and exceed expectations.
Professional, reliable, and capable of working autonomously.
Extensive insurance broking and/or industry experience.
Experience with complex coverage and wording reviews.
Understanding of claims management processes.
Qualifications in accordance with the Financial Services Reform Act (minimum Tier 1 Broking Compliance).
Broad understanding of business, economic, and environmental factors.
Relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant business experience.
