This laboratory provides a full Anatomical Pathology service to several hospitals within the South West Sydney Local Health District including Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown, Bankstown, Camden and Bowral hospitals.
This position is key to the continued provision of our Anatomical pathology services, and as such will required to work within a rotating roster with other scientific/technical staff.
Duties include specimen processing (as required), embedding, microtomy, endoscopy transfers, frozen sections/renal bxs, staining/special stains and potential non-complex cut up and rotational duties for IHC.
Other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and the maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols will also be undertaken.
You will be working in the Histology section of the Anatomical Pathology Department located at the Liverpool Hospital Campus.
The Department is a very busy and large multicultural Department that provides a full range of Histology testing.

Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and the maintenance of equipment in line with established laboratory processes, procedures and protocols.
