Our Journey - The Older Adult Mental Health Service Monash Health's Older Adult Mental Health provides assessment and treatment services for people over the age of 65 years who have a psychiatric disability and/or dementia with associated behaviours of concern requiring treatment.
The Older Adult Mental Health Service has two main sites, one in Kingston and the other in Endeavour Hills.
This position is located in Endeavour Hills.
About You You are an energetic and determined Clinical Psychologist who is ready to step into a senior role or are already in one.
You communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Your ideas to improve service delivery through research and Quality Improvement activities are always welcomed.
As a dedicated psychologist in public health, you care about patients and deliver quality psychological services.
Your track record includes demonstrated success in the following areas: Provide comprehensive psychological assessment and treatment Contribute to patient management plans in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders Engagement with multidisciplinary teams in mental health services Participation in quality improvement processes and research initiatives Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening, and well-developed negotiation and influencing abilities for working with patients and stakeholders What's in it for you?Your next role offers a blend of important and rewarding responsibilities.
You will carry out direct therapeutic work with clients, providing brief and longer psychological treatments, rather than case management.
This is a specialist psychology role that allows you to support clients directly.
