About the Role- Part-time 0.8 EFT (negotiable) – Fixed-term parental leave cover until 6/08/2026
- Combination of assertive outreach and clinic-based work in Adult Community Mental Health
- Team with a homeless portfolio based in the CBD of Melbourne
- Provide support and leadership from a psychology perspective and contribute to the multi-disciplinary team
- Complete clinical assessments, provide useful diagnoses and recovery planning for consumers
- Develop and apply psychological interventions suitable for the consumer cohort to assist with recovery
- Support multi-disciplinary colleagues in the delivery of psychological interventions
- This is a Senior Psychology role open to Clinical Psychologists only and must hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Extensive experience in the provision of specialist services in public mental health settings with a strong focus on local communities and inter-agency knowledge
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability and approved supervisor status (or willingness to undertake this training)
- Interest in working with homeless consumers directly in the community
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions appropriate to low prevalence disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder, relapse prevention, substance use)
- Leadership skills, initiative, advanced communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
