College Profile
Copperfield College is a multi-campus school situated in Melbourne¿s North-West.
The College is comprised of two junior campuses (Years 7-10) in Kings Park and Sydenham and a senior campus (Years 11-12) at Delahey.
We have a student population of approximately 2,000, with 180 (EFT) teaching staff, 70 (EFT) Education Support Staff and 7 Principal Class personnel.
The SFOE for the College is 0.58, indicating a significant level of social disadvantage.

The College is culturally diverse, reflecting our community, with approximately 60% of our students coming from a Language Background other than English.
Copperfield performs to expectations and better on many measures in comparison with `like¿ schools; in particular, our VCE outcomes.
The college¿s mission is `to empower every student to aspire and achieve¿ which is a clear focus in our new College Strategic Plan which can be found along with the 2024 AIP and the 2023 Annual Report, on our website www.copperfieldcollege.vic.edu.au.
Our current plans aim at delivering high quality educational outcomes with low in-school variation in everything we do through a Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum.
Our Strategic Plan has a major focus on building the capacity of every teacher to work collaboratively in Professional Learning Teams to provide differentiated learning challenges to every student.
Improving numeracy, literacy and wellbeing are also key foci for all teachers.

Copperfield is a large provider of VET in Schools and a key member of the Brimbank VET Cluster.
We are the lead school in a Technical Trade Centre, hosting VET Automotive, VET Electrotechnology and a range of other VET subjects.
The College also emphasises the importance of a robust co-curricular and student leadership program.
Copperfield has managed to sustain a stable International Student Program and there are currently 36 international students across the College.
English as an Addition Language (EAL) is taught at all campuses as are two LOTEs, one of which is supported by a 20+ year old sister school relationship with Fuji Junior High School in Japan.

Role
An education support class role at this range is distinguished by:

broader management responsibility, particularly in the areas of finance and human resources where management responsibility is for a range of functions under a wide range of conditions, subject to the size and complexity of school operations; or
delivery of professional student support services and/or clinical management of students and other support functions.

Objectives will, generally, be clearly defined; guidelines will be broad, and day-to-day direction minimal.
Management responsibility extends to ensuring appropriate support levels are maintained across the school.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students but must not include duties of a teacher as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.
Supervision of students can be required where it is an integral part of the employee¿s position or in circumstances where supervision is required individually or in groups up to 4 in controlled circumstances and where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
A role at this range may include: - Provision of key support and advice to the leadership team and school council and/or liaison with the general school community, the Department, and other government agencies and service providers.

Responsibility for the development and implementation of professional support programs within an educational environment, including guidance to other professional staff.
This position is full time, 5 days per week, with 4 weeks annual leave per year.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
The ICT Manager at Copperfield College will have responsibility for the management of the school¿s (three sites, multi-campus College) ICT infrastructure, networks and leading the ICT College technical team.
The ICT Manager will be providing the school Leadership Team with a vision of an optimum ICT infrastructure, specialised technical knowledge, enhancing discussions and decision making aiming at the best possible Teaching and Learning environment aided by ICT.

The ICT Manager will be expected to run or attend various meetings of different College teams and committees to provide technical knowledge, support and expertise, and take direction from the Principal overseeing the ICT across the college.

Lead the College ICT team to a productive, efficient and effective team to ensure the ICT needs of students and staff are met
Manage the efficient and timely response to staff requests for assistance with ICT issues
Overall technical delivery of the ICT resources and Infrastructure across the college community
Provide technical and infrastructure advice to the Principal, the PCO team and various other College stakeholders in relation to the provision of ICT as per the School Strategic Plan (SSP)
Manage user access and permissions to the school network and learning management system, ensuring that Active Directory groups and users are updated in a timely manner, synchronisation across the college¿s various learning portals
Coordinate and lead the work of TSS technicians and school technicians in an organised, prioritised ICT task completion as per the demands within the College
In conjunction with the Business Manager, manage the contracts and agreements for ICT resources and infrastructure within the College
Manage all ICT hardware in the school, including procurement, maintenance, warranty and insurance claims, repairs, etc.
Hardware includes computers, mobile devices, printers, copiers, servers, switching, wireless, security cameras, environmental and telephony infrastructure
Manage, maintain and upgrade the College software application suite and associated software/hardware systems,
Manage the Department of Education Notebook for School Staff Program (NSSP) within the College
Ensure a high level of network availability for staff/students with minimum disruption - communicate any planned outages with relevant stakeholders
Manage the college¿s network security (Inc, firewalls, virus protection, data backup, internet filtering arrangements and ISP connections etc)
Manage the College printing and copying accounting system.

Participate in the ongoing review and evaluation of the ICT Infrastructure, with a view to improving, the effectiveness, efficiency and flexibility of ICT services in meeting the College¿s evolving needs
Prepare ICT documentation and reports for the PCO Team and other College forums as required
Manage the responsible disposal of obsolete ICT equipment (ensuring partial cost recovery where possible), including the forwarding of asset and barcode information to Business Manager for removal from asset register
Management of the ICT budget
Other duties as required by the college principal.

Conditions of Employment

This position is full time, 5 days per week, with 4 weeks annual leave per year.
