The successful candidate will be experienced in developing distribution and logistics modelling for future growth, oversee the financial aspects of our distribution and logistics operations, ensuring efficient financial management, and driving cost optimization initiatives.Position Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement financial strategies to support business growth, including analysis of capital investments Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment of financial goals with operational objectives Lead and mentor 2 finance professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for distribution and logistics functions.
Analyze financial performance and key metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and financial reporting standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge Ideal Education / Qualifications / CompetenciesBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance management within distribution and logistics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and driving cost optimization initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on developing and motivating team members.
Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in financial management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
