Financial Reporting Manager

Newly created finance position with a boutique Sydney-based Family Office with a distinctive and diverse investment portfolio that spans both traditional and alternative asset classes This is a hands-on, high-impact finance leadership role in a dynamic investment environment where your insights and expertise will influence real-time decision-making and shape long-term financial outcomes.
You will operate at the core of the business—working directly with the Financial Controller and Principal—offering exposure across complex entities, trusts, investment vehicles, and strategic projects If you're an ambitious CA/CPA professional ready to step into a broad, commercially involved role with visibility, responsibility, and variety—this is a compelling opportunity Coverage of role: Financial Reporting & Strategic Analysis Month-End & Year-End Close Taxation, Compliance & Regulatory Treasury & Investment Oversight Budgeting & Strategic Planning About You CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years' experience in financial reporting, ideally from a Big 4 background with commercial/family office exposure Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax compliance, and reporting requirements Deep experience with complex structures—trusts, investment entities, SPVs—and ideally Division 7 AYou thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, and are comfortable being both strategic and hands-on You have a high level of ownership, strong attention to detail, and can manage competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy What is on Offer Direct exposure to strategic investment decisions at the highest level Opportunity to build and optimise processes, not just maintain them Work in a tight-knit, high-performing team where your voice matters Varied and interesting work across asset classes, sectors, and structures Support from leading external advisors in accounting, tax, and structuring A role that blends finance, strategy, and investment—not just reporting To explore further in confidence, please send your resume (in Word format) to Paddy Kelly via Paddy.
