We are seeking an experienced product owner to join our Product & Innovation Team through the next phase of growth as our customer base expands and our strategy evolves to meet opportunities in this rapidly evolving market.
This exciting role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Dublin or Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid or fully remote model.
JOB PURPOSE As Product Owner, you will create and maintain the product backlog, prioritise work based on internal and external demand, be the focal point in a multidisciplinary Scrum team and become a subject matter expert for pay Unite, Fexco's Payments Orchestration platform.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Work with Product Management to drive and deliver the launch of new products and services to our client base.
Translate the product roadmap into well-defined product requirements & user stories including clearly documented acceptance criteria.
Act as the liaison between Sales and other stakeholders to prioritise and refine requirements and ensure delivery on time and in budget.
Regularly report and provide status updates against KPI's to all business stakeholders and the project steering committee.
In addition to new product features, maintain the technical debt and operational backlog items ensuring the delivery of requirements to the relevant stakeholders.
Set and prioritise the work for the agile team and review progress at the end of every sprint.
Drive the collaboration between relevant team to refine and define requirements s e.g.
Commercial, Finance, Engineering, UX, and other users.
Continuously review the backlog, refining priorities, outlining roadmap milestones and deliverables, and manage opportunities and risks.
Contribute to continuous improvement through development of new ideas and improved ways of working.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED 3 years+ Product Owner experience, preferably in the Fintech space.
Domain experience in Multi-channel payments processing (e Commerce, Po S, MOTO) and Payments acquiring is required.
Experience working in Agile methodology.
A third level degree, in an IT related area.
Experience translating complex features and deliverables into Epics and User stories.
Ability to report into executive suite on project status ensuring all stakeholders are kept abreast of key milestones and deliverables.
Excellent problem solving, communication, collaboration, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
Exhibit a multidisciplinary approach to thinking, combining market, business, and technical insights to identify opportunities.
Be able to work under pressure and deliver a varied and busy workload to deadline.
Demonstrable personal organisation, including the ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks accordingly whilst keeping the business up to date on project developments.
Passion and drive to understand, envisage and deliver customer needs in partnership with the Business.
A high degree of self-motivation and curiosity.
Must be accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
Must be flexible and have a 'can-do' attitude and approach.
