Software Engineer

Heidi is on a mission to halve the time it takes to deliver world-class care. We believe that by 2050 every clinician will practice with AI systems that free them from administrative burden and increase the quality and accessibility of care to patients across the world. Today, we have a suite of tools that modernise the way patients receive and clinicians provide care. Heidi Scribe transcribes consultations to generate clinical notes, documents and next-step actions. These tools are being stitched into a platform that will define a new mode of providing healthcare.

We've raised our $10M Series A led by Australia's largest VC firm, Blackbird Ventures, and we have an ambitious global go-to-market strategy starting with the US and the UK. Therefore, we're hiring a Software Engineer who will play a dual role: designing, developing, and maintaining software while also supporting customers with technical setup and questions about the software. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to build reliable, scalable tools and ensure customers have a seamless experience using them.

What you'll do:

• Contribute to software design, development, testing, and maintenance.
• Develop applications and systems using modern programming languages and tools.
• Modify, document, and improve existing software code for scalability and performance.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to define and refine software requirements, ensuring alignment with user needs and business goals.
• Provide exceptional customer support by understanding customer needs, resolving issues efficiently, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Perform in-depth analysis of technical issues reported by customers.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand, reproduce, and resolve complex technical problems.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries, ensuring issues are resolved within agreed service levels.
• Fix product issues and bugs, ensuring high-quality and reliable product performance.

What we will look for:

• Strong software development skills with experience in Python, React, Node, FastAPI, or MongoDB.
• Ability to design, test, and maintain reliable, scalable software systems.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users in a clear, empathetic manner.
• Eagerness to contribute to both product development and customer support.
• Ideally 2+ years' experience in a support engineer or software development role.
• A proactive, adaptable person who enjoys a startup environment and can collaborate with an international team of like-minded individuals.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
