General Maintenance Operator – Perth Metro and FIFO | Great Rates | Ongoing Work Full Job Description: Blue Stampede Labour Hire have been mobilized to find an experienced General Maintenance Operator for across Perth metro and FIFO sites.
These are hands-on maintenance roles with excellent local and remote WA businesses who value safety, reliability, and expertise.
If you have a background in building maintenance, minor civils, or site upkeep, and are looking for ongoing work with great teams and conditions, we want to hear from you.
About the Role: As a General Maintenance Operator, you'll support the upkeep and repair of buildings, plant, and grounds across various work environments including:
Civil construction sites Commercial and industrial facilities FIFO mining and infrastructure projects Indoor and outdoor environments (some confined space or height work may be involved) Overtime and shift work may be required Key Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance and inspections on buildings and infrastructure Carry out minor repairs – carpentry, painting, civil patching, and handy-person tasks Respond to urgent maintenance and breakdowns promptly Assist tradespeople and contractors as needed on site Maintain and operate hand and power tools safely Keep accurate records of maintenance and safety checks Support site safety by completing Take 5s, JHAs, and SWMS documentation Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment Skills & Experience: White Card – Mandatory CPC20120 Certificate II in Construction – Desirable High Risk Licences (Highly Regarded): EWP (Elevated Work Platform), Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Asbestos Removal First Aid (HLTAID011) – Required Previous experience in building or site maintenance Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and instructions Physically fit, reliable, and safety-conscious Valid driver's licence – Required for most roles Why Work With Us?
