VIC, Heathcote Swimming Pool - Heathcote 3523 Great seasonal facilities Great career pathway with an entrepreneurial organisation Opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive team We are seeking an outstanding people leader to coach, inspire, and lead the team at our fantastic seasonal pool The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Centre Manager to lead the team and deliver exceptional customer experiences on a casual basis.
Responsible for managing the facility, the team, and engaging with the local community, you will be fully accountable for the Centre's operations, financials, and programs.
You will develop and implement plans through collaboration with the Centre's leadership team, stakeholders, and the local Council.
With experience in sales, financial, and risk management, you will drive the Centre's success.
This is a 5-month casual role for the summer season from November to March.
Key Accountabilities Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and staff through effective policies, processes, and procedures.
Coach and develop leaders to meet KPIs through engagement, performance planning, and development plans.
Lead a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement.
Achieve budgeted performance targets.
Maintain a strong relationship with the local Council.
Implement a customer service approach that meets client needs.
Recruit energetic, diverse, and passionate staff to complement the team and vision.
Identify and develop career progression paths for staff, ensuring transparent succession planning.
Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contractual requirements.
About You You are an emerging leader with vision and energy, passionate about leisure and eager to join a growing organisation.
You can demonstrate how you've built high-performance teams aligned with business goals and articulate the link between employee engagement and business success.
Essential Skills and Qualifications: Experience managing or leading in a leisure or aquatic facility.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate positively.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Experience in planning and executing operational, financial, and people strategies.
Current CPR and First Aid (Level 2) certificates.
National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People clearance.
Legal right to work in Australia.
Pool Operations Certificate (highly regarded but not essential).
Pool Lifeguard Certificate or ability to obtain one.
